Summary of the Project
Social gender equality is a fundamental principle of democracy and is one of the prerequisites of sustainable
development. It is a reality that the path of strengthening society dynamics pass through to ensure more equal rights for men and
women. At the European level, although there have been many improvements on women’s social and economic rights, it is clear
that gender equality is still not at desired level. Settled opinions and cultural understandings about opposite sexes in society are
the important obstacles in front of achieving gender equality.
